not much of a victory for me

Argh, I’m starting to slack with my one-a-day goal.  I was supposed to write two yesterday, but I only wrote one.  So I should have written two today, but alas, I am again writing only one.  And once again I’ve waited till bedtime to write this.

Umm…today was ok.  Little J and I were supposed to go shoe shopping, but it rained/stormed till 2 PM.  So I got us ready to go, walked to the bus stop, and waited…and waited…and waited.  (more…)

Don’t Laugh

I’ve been slacking with this blog for the past couple of months, so I decided to challenge myself.  (more…)

I’m bad.

So I haven’t blogged in over a month.  I’d like to say not much has happened, but that’s not true.  We went on vacation for one thing, and when we get back I kept saying, “I have to blog about our vacation!”  Well, you know how that goes.  We’ve been home for almost two weeks now.  I have yet to blog about it, and let’s be honest, I’m not going to.

Oh wow.

We were watching TV tonight, J was flipping stations.  He stopped on a public access science fiction show, mostly because it was dorkily hilarious.  Then one of the hosts started gushing about the upcoming Batman movie.  He showed film shots and went on and on about the super-awesome costumes.  And I kid you not, the host looked like…

stuck.

Sigh. Joober is sleeping on my lap, and has been for oh, the past hour and a half. I could try putting him down, but that doesn’t always work. Besides, I think the time for putting him down has long passed me by. But that’s not all. Oh, no. His mouth is still attached to my boob. Yeah, that’s comfortable. The blinds are wide open, the sun is shining through the windows, and despite the snow outside, I’m hot. I’m wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, not to mention Joober (and his Boppy) on my lap. But I will not risk waking him up. Such is a mother’s life.
At least I got all my housework done for today. Actually, being stuck here gives me a good, legitimate reason for idly surfing the Net and playing computer games. And admiring my son’s baby fingers and toes, and sweet eyelashes, puts me in a better mood than the one I’ve been in for most of the day.
Sometimes I wonder if the SAHM life is really for me. This usually happens when I have PMS and the baby is making me crazy. But not having to deal with the bad parts all day means I don’t get the good parts, either. It gets lonely, though. When the weather warms up I’d like to get out more. We all need some friends here.
