’tis the season…
So we’re out and about on Saturday when J gets a call to go into work. It’s supposed to storm that night and they need to take the boats out of the water. So we go over there, and Little J and I hang out inside while J and 3 other guys get underway and take the boat to the boat ramp, which is about 10 minutes away.
I’m sitting there watching TV with Little J, and (more…)
Tuesday update.
I haven’t blogged in a while! Here’s a little bit about what’s been happening around here:
Popcorn, getcha’ popcorn here!
The cutest little Boy Scout (Cub Scout?) just knocked on my door and asked if I wanted to buy some popcorn. It was pretty expensive for popcorn – the box of regular butter popcorn was $10 – but I find it hard to resist adorable little boys these days, especially ones in uniforms who are so sweet and eager. I asked him and his daddy to come back tomorrow, since it’s payday. They said they’d be back next week. I took a peek at the popcorn catalog, there’s a chocolate package that looks delicious. Yum!
It’s definitely fundraiser season – we had football players knocking on our door a couple weeks ago, and I expect the Little Leaguers any day now. If I see any little kids in soccer uniforms, I’ll be a goner. I think little ones playing soccer are the cutest thing ever. When we were in Hawai’i, J and I used to pass by the soccer fields all the time, and the little kids were so cute! Soccer is J’s favorite sport and one he’s really good at. We already have big plans for Little J’s soccer career! So, I’m sure he’ll end up playing basketball or something, haha.
wrench.
Now how did I miss yesterday’s blog?
Last night I went to a Mom’s Night Out for the playgroup I’m a part of. We had a blast - great conversation, great (and some not-so-great) drinks, great “girl time”. But it was what happened beforehand that affected me the most.
Never mind.
Well, yesterday’s adventure never happened. (more…)
A fitting end to a tough day
We have two closets in our bedroom. One holds our clothes; the other, next to the master bath, has extra toiletries (shampoo, toothpaste, etc.), clean towels, and the laundry basket on the floor.
