hmmph.
“All active duty personnel” means “ALL active duty personnel”, not “All active duty personnel except the Coast Guard.” Ugh. Why is the CG always forgotten about? How hard is it to add the letters D-o-D?? “All DoD active duty personnel.” There ya go.
I can’t believe this still bothers me two days later. J doesn’t even care, and he’s the one in the Coast Guard.
Ok, I’ve let it go now.
changed my mind
I decided calling my husband and son Other Half and Joober was too weird. So I’m simplifying. Henceforth, they shall be called Big J (or J, depending on my mood) and Little J (or Lil’ J, depending on my mood). And if you can’t figure out who’s Big and who’s Little…well I don’t know what to say to that.
it’s official.
I got a magazine offer from Good Housekeeping today. No big deal, just junk mail, right? Nope – it was in my name. I’m sure my address was culled from my Reader’s Digest subscription, but holy crap, I’ve been profiled. As a wife and mother who might want a subscription to Good Housekeeping. When the hell did that happen? I admit, I have no interest in Glamour or Cosmo anymore, besides an idle flipping-through while in the checkout line, but Good Housekeeping? It sounds so…fifties. I don’t even know what sort of content they publish.
Ok, I just checked out their website. Apparently I’ve been profiled right. I could use the recipes, the stain-buster guide, the advice on parenting, the financial tips.
To quote Miranda (Sex and the City), “Oh my god. I’m married.”
